Finding a therapist can be an intimidating and confusing process. There are many therapists to choose from and often you have to sift through alphabet soup like CBT, EMDR, LCPC, or LCSW. You are probably also wondering "Who is the best fit for me?" or "Who can help me with my problems the most?" While I cannot answer all of those questions for you, my goal is to make sure I am the right fit for you. Here are a few things to expect from me:
I am active in your therapy. My role is not be passive in session. While it can be "therapeutic" to vent about the frustrations in life, I also focus on changes that you want to see in your life. You sought my help to see changes in your life and that is what I want to move you towards.
I am now on your team. I am not here to give you advice. I will present new skills and perspectives to consider in session but my job is to collaborate with you about the best decision for YOUR LIFE. We are now a problem solving team.
I want you to have your life back. Anxiety is hard and working through it can be difficult. During our work, it will probably feel a little worse before it gets better since that is the nature of anxiety. My goal is not to make you always feel comfortable but to help you get back the things that are most important in your life.

There are a lot of mental health providers available for you to choose but here are some of the ways that I find I stand out from others.
CENTERED ON YOU
Your care is my priority. It is important to me to provide you the quality that you trust me to provide. I emphasize a "team approach" to your care, coordinating with other providers you may be working with to make sure we are all on the same page.
I incorporate tested methods in my therapy which have been scientifically proven to work. While many therapists claim to practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), my extensive training in CBT ensures that the proper techniques and methods are used.
You want to see changes and I want those changes for you. Too many times I hear people getting "lost" in therapy. I will not take a passive approach with you, however, our therapy will be focused on your goals and action towards them, starting with the very first session.
I want to make this process as easy as possible for you. I offer a secure online portal that allows you to schedule your appointments, complete documents and forms, message me, and check your billing documents at your convenience.
